I'd sell the 150 when the time comes but trying to determine if this effort is worth the cost presuming the 200/225 will not just 'bolt on'. Dec 15, 2009 · THE HYDROFOIL HAS EXTREMELY HELPED IN GETTING ON PLANE MUCH QUICKER, stayin on plane at much lower speeds AND ALSO ELIMINATING A GREAT DEAL OF THE PORPOSING ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION. I only know of one other boat with a HydroFoil, a Dynatrack with a 175 Evinrude, and With a hydrofoil, I can keep my boat on plane at 20 mph. Of course that boat with a 150 should come up on plane very quickly with the correct prop and trim usage, without the hydrofoil. I think the SE sport 300 is around 70 to 80 bucks. I love the boat (wouldn't own anything else) but it only has 2 speeds slow or FAST. I like the SE3000 hydrofoil the best of all the different ones I tried. But, that being said you need to have the right prop to begin with. I put a SE sport 300 on all the boats I have owned. Why do you want or need to install one?
